Dosage
ACURO Anionic Polyelectrolyte is used at a dosage of 0.2 to 2.0 ppm (1 ppm = 1 gram per 1000 liters). Exact dosage to be applied on regular basis should be carefully ascertained through a jar test

What is a jar test ?
Take a small quantity of effluent in a beaker and slowly add ACURO Anionic Polyelectrolyte powder into the beaker, while stirring the effluent at a constant slow rpm. The clarity of the solution is to be carefully observed and more quantity of Polyelectrolyte powder is to be added till the desired level of turbidity is obtained. The quantity of Polyelectrolyte used is noted and the required dosage per unit of effluent is carefully calculated to fix the dosage at the plant level.

Making a stock solution :
At plant level, it is always recommended to make a stock solution for dosing rather than adding the Anionic Polyelectrolyte powder directly to the effluent tank. A standard stock solution is prepared by dissolving 0.1-0.2% Anionic Polyelectrolyte powder at 200-300 rpm for 20 to 40 minutes. Dissolution time can be reduced by using lukewarm water.

Handling precautions
Property safety equipment like googles, gloves, face masks and protective clothing should always be used while handling chemicals. In the case of splashing on skin or eyes, wash off with an excess of water. Spills are slippery and should be washed off with copious quantities of water.
